Two student-designed spacecraft, each not much bigger than a child’s toy block, will fly on a NASA suborbital sounding rocket between 6 and 9 a.m. (EST), March 11, from NASA’s Wallops Flight Facility in Virginia. Known as cubesats, the spacecraft designed by Kentucky and California college students will gather information that could be applied to future small Earth orbiting space vehicles.
